The main study in this exercise is not the form finding process using Kangaroo physics engine. It is visualizing the intermediate stages inside the form finding process or during distortion processes.
The key in this survey is "evaluate curve" component. It works for curves, surfaces and meshes as it evaluates the curves at a specified distance, the curves that connect the points from shape A to the points from shape B.
After obtaining the final shape, the intermediate steps can be visualized by evaluating the curves between the first and the final mesh, like in the .gif below.
The evaluate curve component can be also used to see the transformations for meshes and surfaces.
Below are 3 exemples of curve and surface transformations, one using a slider to show each step in the process and two using the range and graph mapper components to see the variations between the limits, represented either by the two curves or by the two surfaces.
